ABWM members visit weekly on Thursday mornings to teach English and to encourage speaking and communication. Volunteers can also help take residents out on group outings and field trips or to spend time with residents on a one-to-one basis. The teaching method is informal so everyone, regardless of previous experience, is welcome. RC Deaf Missions RC Deaf Missions Malaysia is an organisation that aims to promote the diverse talents of deaf persons though arts and crafts. It provides sign language training and career opportunities to deaf persons and it aims to educate and to advocate for the deaf community in issues such as employment and community awareness. Equine assisted therapy is used to achieve learning and stimulates physical, mental, social and educational progress. Volunteers are needed to help children prepare for the ride, prepare the horses for the ride, lead horses, provide emotional support to the children, and any other tasks to help with the session. Volunteers are also needed to help with administrative duties in the main office. Sessions are held in the morning at two locations: Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at Royal Selangor Club in Ampang and Tuesday and Thursday at Bukit Kiara Equestrian and Country Resort.
